Philipsite is a rare mineral from the zeolite group, known to fill cavities in basalts where it accompanies calcite and other zeolites. It is a hydrated K- and Na-rich aluminosilicate that forms elongated and sometimes twinned crystals.

Chemical formula: (Ca_0.5,K,Na,Ba_0.5)_4-7[Al_4-7Si_12-9O₃₂] ^. 12H₂O
